Walther S, Voigt M, Thum T, et al. Satellite chlorophyll fluorescence measurements reveal large‐scale decoupling of photosynthesis and greenness dynamics in boreal evergreen forests[J]. Global change biology, 2015.

This paper focused on length of the photosynthetically active period in high-latitude evergreen needleleaf forests.

The author tested two indicators of photosynthetically active period: EVI and SiF. And he found that compared with EVI, SiF indicated 6 weeks longer photosynthetically active period.

This study demonstrated the robustness of SiF as probe of photosynthesis activities.
